The principles of the Dawn Magi share some similarities with Sith and Jedi Codes….
A position of strength and power is preferred and far more effective.
Emotion is no flaw of nature, no sin, no trap, no path to the dark side. Only abandonment of reason and slavery to emotion leads to the dark side.
The dark side of the force and the light side of the force are tools to be used.
Control of passion, not suppression, forges success and productivity.
Reasoning and patience fueled by focused enthusiasm dominates all endeavors.
Passion without logic is self-destruction.
Adversity and hardship strengthen the mind, body, and spirit.
It is more compassionate to allow a person to endure hardship, than to take away their opportunity to become stronger, in order to spare oneself out of squeamishness or selfish pride.
Logic without passion is slow death.
Love, compassion, and joy are at least as useful as hate, anger, and fear.
The Jedi are weaker because of their restriction to the Light, the Sith are weaker because of their restriction to the Dark.
Dawn Magi typically see Sith as emotionally immature, reckless, self-destructive, and ultimately unproductive. They view the Jedi far worse though. Jedi are viewed as stuck up self-righteous hypocrites deluding themselves with naïve notions of goodness, light, and nobility while weakening all who accept their tenets.
