The beginning of Qotho Khal'essi's documented life began when Imperial Authorities seized her on Nar Shaddaa, two months after the Red Light Massacre within the red light district cantina on Nar Shaddaa left twenty-three dead, and one man severely injured. The surviving victim described the scene as "chaotic, full of twisted forces of lightning," later remarking that "in the midst of all of the killing, not a single sound came from the girl." The man was able to describe the attacker as a female Rattataki of tentatively 15 years of age. Twelve more reports of both theft and murder are thought to be at the hands of Qotho, before she was finally caught trying to sneak onto a spaceshift's cargo hold, headed for Korriban.
An unknown Sith Lord payed the authorities to drop the charges, in exchange for the promise that the young girl would be a Sith Apprentice and go on to faithfully serve the Empire.
Notorious for being ominously silent, little is publicly known of Qotho's personal life or past. While loyalty and devotion are traits that she does not seem to possess, she has recently taken the title of Second-in-Command of the Serjek Mirtis, a quick-reacting and powerful sector of The Vigil, for the pleasure of organized killing. Awkward and unhappy in social situations, Qotho is most in her element when caught alone, close to her fellow leader and lover Xardas Rygar, or on the battlefield, healing her allies and halting her foes.
